Students will explore multiple applications using custom audio and source video, identify audio use and function in current media forms, and create a fully integrated multimedia project using skills developed throughout the class.

Students will be exposed to the following skills in classroom and lab settings: convey multimedia meaning using simple text, identify audio waveform parts, edit waveform with cuts, trims and fades, layer audio to create custom sound beds, edit digital video files, convert audio and digital video files for applications, analyze audio using cue sheets, visual models and plotpoint analysis models, differentiate linear and non-linear media, and produce an organized and purposeful multimedia project.

Students will use the following applications in class:  Safari, Powerpoint, Online Digital Converters, GarageBand, Audacity, iMovie (or Adobe Premiere for advanced students), and Fireworks.
